The Development Group

The Development Group was established in Yuma by Mike Skinner and Scott Spencer in 1986. They came here from Wyoming with a vision: to build a solid and dependable company, one quality home at a time.
Over 20 years later, The Development Group enjoys an outstanding reputation in Yuma for building fine homes with trusted materials. To reach their goal of being the best in the business, Mike and Scott agreed to certain standards.
First, they agreed they would do as much of the actual work on each home as possible, and only hire qualified subcontractors with the same high standards. Next, Mike and Scott agreed that each and every home, regardless of price or size, would be customized for the individual buyer. Finally, TDG vowed to stand behind their product by commitment to their homes and warrantees.
In 2008, recognizing a shared passion for product excellence and customer satisfaction, The Development Group became part of the Elliott Homes team.
Since 1914, the Elliott name has been synonymous with fine family homes and the most preferred in communities. Almost a century and more than 40,000 homes later, the company is still at the forefront of the home building industry. Elliott Homes maintains a tradition of imaginative foresight in the homebuilding industry, with the creation of energy-efficient homes and masterfully planned communities in growing locations within Arizona and California. More than 6,000 new homes have been built in Phoenix, Arizona, by Elliott, since they expanded there in 1978.
The family-owned and operated business has also earned local, regional and national acclaim for their accomplishments. Next to several awards for excellence for both homes and communities, Elliott Homes has twice been selected "Home Builder of the Year" by the home building industry.
The traditions established over five decades ago remain in effect today, under the direction of H.C. Elliott and Harry C. Elliott III. Together, they personally guarantee the quality of each home bearing the Elliott Homes name.
